YOUR WORKFLOW

Editing a picture or building a model?

Choose the output you need before submitting a reference. The form on this page creates 3D geometry when connected.

01

Image-to-image editing

Produces another flat picture. Useful for exploring color, materials or style, but it does not create a printable mesh. This separate service is not live on Modzi3D.

02

Image-to-3D generation

Estimates a mesh from the visible reference. It can propose hidden surfaces, but those surfaces are inferred rather than measured.

Turn your reference image into 3D

Choose Base or Pro and review the credit cost before submitting. Your completed GLB is saved in your account.

How credits work

Credits are reserved when you generate. Failed jobs restore your credits. Image and text models share your monthly allowance.

What an image-to-image AI generator does

Image-to-image generation uses a picture as a visual reference for another picture. It can change style, materials, lighting, or composition. The result is still a flat image, even when it looks like a 3D render.

Modzi3D’s current studio accepts a reference and produces a proposed 3D mesh. A separate image-to-image editing tool is not currently live here. You can prepare your reference with an image editor before uploading it.

Preserve the structure while improving the reference

If you edit an image before 3D conversion, keep the silhouette and proportions consistent. Removing a distracting background is often more useful than adding dramatic lighting. Changes that invent extra limbs or merge objects create ambiguity for reconstruction.

Compare the original with the edited reference. Check the number of fingers, supporting legs, handles, wheels, and other important features. Use the clearer image, not automatically the more polished-looking one.

A practical character-reference example

Start with one full-body character in a neutral pose, with space between the limbs and torso. Keep accessories simple and visible. A backpack hidden behind the body may be interpreted differently from what you intended.

After generation, review the mesh from every available angle. A character model is not automatically a rigged, animated, or game-optimized asset. Those are separate production tasks.

Free preview does not mean unrestricted export

Every plan offers a 3-day trial with a limited image-to-3D allowance. A card is required. After 3 days, the selected subscription price is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Completed models can be downloaded as GLB from your account. OBJ and STL conversions are separate operations costing 13 credits each; they are not included in the image-generation trial.
